Injection and withdrawal restrictions for 2015/2016
Last updated on 13. July 2015
All storage customers are subject to restrictions concerning the quantity of gas they are capable of injecting into or withdrawing from the gas storage facility in any given hour
These quantity restrictions are called injection or withdrawal restrictions.

Injection restrictions limit all commercial storage customers' injection by a certain percentage when the gas storage facility is almost full. The reason for this is that the gas storage facilities takes longer to fill when they are close to being full. This implies, that 75% of the injection capacity is available when the storage filling reaches 95% or more. All injection capacity is available when the storage filling is below 95%.

Withdrawal restrictions limit all storage customers' withdrawal of gas from the gas storage facilities when they are almost empty. It is not possible to withdraw nearly as much gas from the gas storage facility when they are close to being empty. This implies, that only 85% of the withdrawal capacity is available when the storage filling is at or below 20%, only 75% of the withdrawal capacity is available when the storage filling is at or below 15%, only 50% of the withdrawal capacity is available when the storage filling is at or below 10%, and 30% of the withdrawal capacity is available when the storage filling is at or below 5%. When the storage filling is above 20% all withdrawal capacity is available. Please notice, that in case an emergency-supply situation is declared, these withdrawal restrictions no longer applies.
